Success Story

“I am so happy that I can walk again!”

Northampton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation is proud to tell the story of Mrs. McIntosh. Mrs. McIntosh underwent elective surgery in June and ended up with about a month in the hospital due to infection. She had to have a second surgical intervention to remove the infection and was put on intervenors antibiotics for several weeks. This resulted in her requiring increased assistance with all functional task and transfers. Mrs. McIntosh elected to come to Northampton Manor to receive her therapy. When Mrs. McIntosh arrived, she was weak and feeling very insecure about her ability to move.

The Reliant Rehab team quickly built a relationship with her and gained her trust in our knowledge and experience, and we were able to overcome her insecurity. Mrs. McIntosh is now walking some assistance and she is feeling much stronger than she expected. With the help of a walker, Mrs. McIntosh has now gone home with her spouse and has a new revived hope to regain total independence. We wish you the best of luck with your recovery.
