Mrs. Verna Raybuck arrived at Northampton Manor Nursing and Rehab in early April with new onset of Covid 19 and a declining level of independence over the last several years. Due to her compromised respiratory capacity, she had difficulty with completing any functional task. She required increased rest breaks and assistance with daily mobility needs.

The Reliant therapy team worked with Mr. Raybuck to meet her individual wants and need to get her back home safely. Verna worked extremely hard and made great progress with her goals. In less than two weeks, Verna started getting her strength and balance back again. She was able to start completing her daily care needs independently again gradually. Verna said she enjoyed working with the therapists at Northampton Manor. She looked forward to getting to know us and loved laughing every day in therapy. Mrs. Raybuck reported “I have not walked this well in three years,” and worked with the therapy team to build a program for at home to maintain her current independence.
